Palm Sunday
Sunday, April 2, 10 AM Service
In The Main Sanctuary
Palm Sunday is a celebration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where people took palm branches and spread them over the road that Jesus passed on while he was riding on a young donkey, also known as a colt.
During this entrance, the people shouted Hosanna, which means “save now” in Hebrew. While this was a plea from an oppressed people to their Savior for deliverance, we use it today as a shout of praise to celebrate the triumph of Jesus as the savior of the world!
We welcome you to join us in this joyous time of praise on Sunday, April 2 at 10 am, as we remember and celebrate this event that took place a week before Jesus’ resurrection that was also foretold hundreds of years prior in the book of Zechariah.
“Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
