Join us after the service on Sunday, February 15, for baptisms! During the service, there will be a class for anyone getting baptized, and then baptisms will take place in the sanctuary after service. Baptism is a beautiful moment of saying “yes” to God’s love—it’s not about duty or religion but about belonging. When Jesus stepped into the Jordan River, He didn’t do it because He needed forgiveness, but because He wanted to stand where we stand. As He rose from the water, the heavens opened, the Spirit rested on Him, and the Father declared, “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” That same voice of love is spoken over us in baptism. It’s not something we do for God—it’s what the Father speaks over us. Through baptism, we move from orphan to child, from death to life, and from being alone to belonging. It’s the moment when His love moves from being an idea in our heads to an experience in our hearts.
